We believe that logging off to enjoy the fleeting balmy nights of summer is so important. When the weather is so wonderfully warm even after the sun has set, we are always up for a movie night. We love to tune in and turn off the To Do Lists in our head. All we need is a curated selection of essential summer viewing, excellent snacks and our THC infused Dried Fruit Collection.

If you have a private outdoor space at your home, a projector and some old sheets, you can create a theatre under the stars for you and your friends. Add in a pile of beach blankets, pillows and some citronella candles and you have achieved maximum cozy. If you’re in a high-rise, you can absolutely still enjoy a movie night with a streaming service and a pile of couch cushions.

Now that you have set the scene, it’s time to select some snacks. After vigorous testing (you’re welcome), we have determined stovetop popcorn is the very best technique for the quintessential savoury movie snack. You achieve a fragrant and crispy kernel, best served in individual bowls, so you don’t have to share 😉 We love to toss our still warm popcorn with a splash of tamari for a unique umami flavour. Dazed and Confused is a cult classic, set on the last day of high school in 1976. Iconic Line: So many to choose from, but we love when Matthew McConaughey’s character Wooderson asks someone if they have any cannabis. When they say no, he responds, “It’d be a lot cooler if you did.” (We agree!) Once the Very Cherry edibles kick in, the laughs are even longer and seeing so many famous actors (Ben Affleck! Matthew McConaughey!) so young is a real trip.

If you’re feeling more like snuggling up to avoid jump scares, share four crunchy Canna Banana edibles and press play on Jaws, the ultimate summer throwback flick. Iconic Line: After an appearance by the many-toothed shark, Chief Brody, played by Roy Scheider declares “You’re going to need a bigger boat.” Even if the shark doesn’t look as menacing now, that iconic theme music and amazing acting make it a perfect movie night pick.
